InquiryCatch / Privacy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data InquiryCatch collects, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. The controller is Matej Sobotka, Pardubická 91, 535 01 Přelouč, Czech Republic (“InquiryCatch”, “we”). For anything about your data, email hello@inquirycatch.com.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to answer you, build your demo or provide our service.
- No advertising, no tracking, no analytics tools and no cookies on this website.
- We never sell personal data.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
1. When you visit inquirycatch.com
Our server has to receive your IP address and basic browser information to deliver the page. We do not keep web server access logs. To protect our chat and demo tools from abuse, we keep a count of requests per IP address in memory for up to one hour. Fonts and files are served from our own server, so visiting our site does not send your data to Google or other third parties. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
2. When you use the chat on our website
The chat is an AI assistant, and it tells you so. We process the messages you write and the details you choose to give us: the type of business you run, your company name, website, your name, email and, if you want, your phone number. We use them to answer your questions, prepare your demo and contact you about it. The founder gets your enquiry by email. A short alert that a new enquiry arrived is also sent to his phone via Telegram, without any of your personal details.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)). Conversations that do not turn into an enquiry are deleted after 90 days. Enquiries are kept while we deal with your request and are deleted at the latest two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer.
3. When you build an instant demo
If you enter your website address, we read your public homepage once to set up a demo assistant with your business name and services. If you give us your email, we use it only to send you the demo link and, if you reply, to talk about it. We do not add you to a newsletter. The founder is notified by email that a demo was built. Demos are deleted after 90 days. Legal basis: steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
4. If we contacted your business by email
We may send a short email to businesses whose contact details are published on their own website or in public business listings, to offer a service that may be relevant to them. We hold the business name, website, business email address and phone number, and the city. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in contacting businesses about relevant services (Art. 6(1)(f)). We send at most three emails. If you do not reply, we delete your details within 90 days of the first email. If you opt out, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so that we never email you again. You can object at any time by replying “no” or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
5. If you are our customer
We process the contact and billing details needed to provide the service, send invoices and support you (Art. 6(1)(b)), and keep invoices and accounting records for as long as Czech tax and accounting law requires (Art. 6(1)(c)).
6. Visitors to our customers’ websites
When our assistant runs on a customer’s website, that business decides what the assistant asks and what happens with the enquiries. The business is the controller and we act as its processor under a data processing agreement. Please see that business’s own privacy policy, and contact them first with any request. We delete their data when they ask or when they stop using our service.
7. Who we share data with
Only with the providers we need to run InquiryCatch, each bound by a data processing agreement:
- Google Cloud (servers and hosting, United States)
- Anthropic (the AI model that writes the assistant’s replies, United States). Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Zoho (our email, European Union)
- Telegram (short alerts to the founder that something new arrived, without any personal data)
- Cloudflare (our domain name and DNS only, no website traffic)
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
8. Security
All connections use HTTPS. Data is stored on servers with restricted access, access keys are kept out of our code, and our tools are protected against automated abuse. If a security incident affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Automated decisions
The assistant collects and passes on enquiries. It does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to hello@inquirycatch.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz), and you can also go to the authority in your own country.
11. Cookies
We do not use cookies. The details are in our Cookie Policy.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email in advance.
